So my daughter will have her first surgery in September of 2010 and I am anxious on what to do with insurance! Is there any benefits, programs or good insurance companies anyone can reccommend? Im pretty clueless when it comes to insurance because I have never needed anything more than a perscription or two! Thanks!

You will need to compare insurance companies that are available to you.
Check on stuff like: copays, referrals to specialists, out of pocket expenses, hospital coverage (this is a biggie if there will be any surgeries), durable medical equipment (for prosthetic devices - this is also a biggie), and physical therapy coverage.
If you are having trouble finding good insurance, Free Hospitals are always an option. There are several around the US, but the biggest one I know is Shriners Hospital.
I hope this helps some.
