Can't explain in great detail but my son had the super hip surgery in Dec. with Dr. Paley. In my son's case he had class C PFFD. He had a partial ball no femoral neck. Everything was displaced the ball, neck and socket wasn't connected as it should be to have a stable hip. Dr. Paley fixed the ball, and carved a femoral neck and then connected the three peices. He is now wearing a fixator until his bones are healed. If you are having the surgery with Dr. Paley you should email him he is really good at responding in understandable writting.
