We are from Wayne, PA which is right outside Philadelphia. We go to Children's Hospital and I also know of a shoemaker in Southampton, PA who can do the lifts by mail. You can mail him the shoes and the prescription and he mails them back. Let me know if you want his info. CHOP will do them by mail too. I think you just have to go for an initial consult. That is the closest places that I know. Hope this helps and let me know if you want either phone numbers. Also, CHOP takes insurance whereas the shoemaker does not and it is about $150 a pair.
Hi! I also live in PA, but in Northeastern. I don't know of anywhere specific off hand near Lancaster, but if you do a Yellow Pages search for orthotics, you should be able to find somewhere. I take my shoe to a place that makes prosthetics and all sorts of assistive devices. It takes about 2 days and 30 dollars to get the lift put on. My guy is great! He always tries his best to match the lift with the color of the sole of the shoe so that it's less conspicuous.
