Why I removed the user "pt"

It was brought to my attention that a facility which offers medical services either signed up a PR firm or took it upon themselves make posts to this site to solicit members of the PFFD for treatments and to use viral marketing to promote a particular mode of treatment by their organization.

I don't have a problem with companies or hospitals wanting to share helpful information. But any commercial enterprise needs to clearly identify themselves in their postings so as to let readers know that they are being subjected to advertising. Viral and guerrilla marketing is NOT ACCEPTABLE on this site. To presume to be a PFFD member and then solicit members for services is beyond the pale.

For those who are unfamiliar with the term "guerrilla marketing" it is a form of marketing where the advertiser is not clearly identified and who tries to get people to use their services by subterfuge. A real-world past example was when cigarette companies would hire pretty women to smoke on the street or in bars and chat up young men to encourage them to smoke also. Another example is when a company which made infant formula sent out its employees dressed in nurses uniforms to poor communities telling them that their infant formula was better than breast feeding (sickening many babies as a result).

I deleted the user "pt" and removed all of their posts. If anyone else wishes to complain about pt and the they may do so by contacting me.

Thanks Rar!! As always you are doing a fine job!!
