Well, I've been a member for about a year and I think I'm finally going to have my surgery. I really would like to do lengthening on my legs but I think it well be to hard. See both of my legs are short and my right is shorter by four inches. This summer I really wanted to have the surgery but my mom is making all the decisons. She would like for me to have it after I graduate which is next May. And also right now I don't have any insurance becasue my Medicad was taking away. It delayed my ear repar surgery for my deformed ear. My doctors said it will be easier if I just amputate because I don't have a hip sucket and it will have to be repaired first. I've decided to take a year off after I graduate from high school to have my sugery. I really don't know what I'm gonna do. A few weeks ago my sister and I was talking about what I was gonna to do. I wanted to have both legs lengthened but my doctor wants to do only one. I want my legs to look the same, just teenage problems. Is it possible to have your foot amputated and then do lengthening? Also can you ask the doctor if he can amputate more of the leg?
