Our 6 month old daughter, Brooke, was born with BPFFD, and complete absence of both arms. She is missing her femur, fibula, knees, and both hips..as well as both her pinky toes. Other than the "obvious" Brooke is very healthy, and bright...but i'm biased....is anyone else missing their hips?? and how is walking??

Our 6 year old, Lilly, also
Our 6 year old, Lilly, also has no hip sockets, knees, femurs, fibulas, and has 3 toes on her left foot and 4 on her right foot. She does though have both arms...otherwise sound pretty similar. Lilly is walking on her own since about 24 months of age. She does use a wheelchair in school going from room to room or while at the mall or at an event that has some distance to go. At home she walks or crawls sometimes too...just easier and quicker and less work for her to crawl.

Lilly's ankles
Hi Jen!! longgg time no talk! How is Lilly doing? We have just come back from Alberta Children's Hospital. They have all been brainstorming for walking for Brooke. I remembered you had mentioned that Lilly had no fibulas, Is she also missing the joint on the outside of her ankle as well?? Brooke is, and they are trying to figure out a way to stablize the movement her ankle doesn't fall to the side all the time whe it comes time to walk. If you have any problem shooting for this, could you possibly let me know??
Thanks,
rachel
