My Special Son and our Little Angel

Ian Gabriel , our little angel and special child was born in September 19, 1999 , in a Clinic in the Philippines. Third child of a mother with late forty's, so how it turned his delivery to be in Cessarian Section. Never thought that were given a Special Child with Proximal Focal Femoral Dysplasia, Unilateral and without Stable Hip. We don't have any idea about this sickness. We didn't even know that this can have a solution someday. Ian can walk as a normal individual. Only at age seven years old he wore a prosthetic. During at his early age he walked one long right leg and one short left leg. So he got an operation for knee dislocation.

He is now a second grade in school. He can do everything as a normal child. Giving all the positive way and telling him the truth about why he was born special. I asked him three options, one to cut it, two to turn it backward, and three is the way he is using the heavy prosthetic. He said, "I will think about it when I am older. I think is better that if you have a chance to let your child do what is best for them is when they are still a baby.

God has always been a purpose in our life, all of us are special and angels in God's Heart. Thank you in this community.

louise kavanagh here just wondering is it a straight prosthestic your son is wearing?

Hello too,

Nice to have a message from you. I don"t know about straight prosthetic. The short left leg with a foot is supporting by a synthetic fiber and connected by a another artificial foot to level the longer one. The one that my son using is just an improvised one. I saw a much better one in a net site in America. Thanks.
